About
Louise Carey is an author and speaker known for her humor and unique illustrations. She is a graduate of Biola College, a teacher, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. One of the greatest honors and joys of her life is being married to Tim Carey, a Bible translator. Together they have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1980. They have four grown children and twelve grandchildren.
Book
The Hedge People: How I Kept My Sanity and Sense of Humor as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver is a collection of humorous and heartwarming stories from Louise’s years of taking care of her father-in-law. Each chapter ends with a Caregiver prayer and a few helpful hints for Caregivers.
Speaking
Louise has a passion for sharing God’s Word and applying it in a memorable way to everyday life. She speaks at Women’s Retreats and special events.
She also has a deep desire to encourage and support caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients. She speaks at Alzheimer’s Caregiver Conferences and to Caregiver support groups.
