Louise M Carey
Louise Carey is an author and speaker known for her humor and unique illustrations. She is a graduate of Biola College, a teacher, a wife, a mother, and a grandmother. One of the greatest honors and joys of her life is being married to Tim Carey, a Bible translator. Together they have served with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1980. They have four grown children and twelve grandchildren.
Louise has a passion for sharing God’s Word and applying it in a memorable way to everyday life. She speaks at Women’s Retreats and special events.
She also has a deep love and concern for caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients. One of the most important lessons Louise has learned is that God’s will for our lives is not limited to the things we aspire to do for Him. It is also taking whatever job God places in our hands, whether large or small, and carrying it out for His glory. Caregiving was one of those jobs He placed in her hands. From that experience, she has written the book The Hedge People: How I Kept My Sanity and Sense of Humor as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver. She speaks at Caregiver Conferences and to Caregiver support groups.
